Who it affects
Every company performing load-bearing adhesive bonding under DIN 2304-1 or certified to it: Adhesive supervision, manufacturing, quality assurance, design. Anyone who still refers to the old standard after the transition documents according to a withdrawn regulation. The technical substance is preserved: safety classes, requirements for adhesive-bonding personnel, and record-keeping are carried over, not reinvented.
What needs to be done
Update references in your process documents, work instructions, and inspection procedures from DIN 2304-1 to DIN EN ISO 21368 and train your personnel on the new standard - with documented evidence. For certified companies, clarify with your certification body when your audit will be adjusted to the new standard.
